Greg Beairsto, painting as EarL, cut a piece of aluminum flashing , used his daughter's acrylic paint set and began a series of brightly colored "Building Blocks" that started him painting florals, other geometric and folk art. His interest in art and creativity is self-taught but visible long before "EarLart" became a reality. Greg opened pizzerias in Chattanooga, and Hixson, TN years ago and created an atmosphere with paint and music that people seek out. His art and vision can be seen on the purple walls and funky tabletops of Lupi's Pizza Pies. Greg is now painting on pieces of aluminum and wood that are being framed with old wood and represented at venues other than his pizza establishments.

Greg ("Earl") is 39 years old, lives in Chattanooga, operates two Lupi's Pizza Pies stores (Lupi.com) and loves music, art and people. He received an award for art in elementary school, which he jokingly says may have contributed to his confidence in picking up the brush when so many people with a vision may not have. Out of an overflow of a great and full life, Greg paints whimsical creatures, colorful and natural florals and interesting geometric ("Building Blocks"). Greg's style is hard to categorize, which also reflects this artist's personality. The original series of colorful blocks are "geometrical" and reflect "cubism", his florals that followed are very colorful and realistic, the "creatures" are fun and folk-like. The most recent florals are simple, bright and whimsical. His art appeals to nature lovers, architects, folk-art collectors and the common-"Joe" who appreciates something on the wall that is fun, happy and spread a positive message. As one interested friend noted, "this art has such a positive, happy and fun feel".
